Description
| Test Case ID | TC_LOGIN_006 |
|---|---|
| Test Case Name | Verify field-specific validation messages are displayed on Login |
| Module | Login |
| Priority | Medium |
| Testing Type | Validation |
| Precondition | User is on the Login page. |
| Test Steps | 1. Enter an invalid email address and a valid password. 2. Click Sign In. 3. Enter a valid email address and an incorrect password. 4. Click Sign In. 5. Leave the Email and Password fields empty and click Sign In. 6. Observe the validation messages displayed. |
| Expected Result | - Email is required should be displayed when the Email field is empty. - Password is required should be displayed when the Password field is empty. - Please enter a valid email address should be displayed for an invalid email format. - For invalid login credentials, the application should provide a clear and user-friendly validation (e.g., "Invalid email or password") or indicate the field requiring correction, instead of displaying a confusing generic message such as "Incorrect password/email". |
